Welcome to the Benton Franklin Bar Association

 

The Benton Franklin Bar Association has been serving the needs of local attorneys for over 50 years. Our Association has approximately 180 members. Currently, there are approximately 380 attorneys in the Tri-Cities area.
 
Our current president is Jeff Sperline, president elect is Kolleen Ledgerwood, and Diana Ruff is the Secretary/Treasurer.
 

 

Upcoming Events
The Association holds monthly meetings for members from September through June on the third Tuesday of each month.  Most meetings are approved for CLE Credits.  The meetings are from 12 - 1 p.m. at The Country Gentleman Restaurant at 9221 W. Clearwater, Kennewick.

Attendance is free.  Those desiring to eat lunch must RSVP to the Secretary/Treasurer at diana@allenbrecke.com no later than the Friday before the luncheon to reserve a lunch.  The cost of lunch is $12.00 per person.

I spoke with Scott Boyce yesterday – he grew up here in Kennewick and would like to return when he graduates from Creighton Law School in a couple of months – I have cut and pasted his resumé below, he looked and sounded like he would be a great hire for anyone.  He is coming to the tri cities to interview in the next month or two so if you know anyone looking to hire please let them know about Scott or let Scott know.

Congratulations to Brenna Feeney and her teacher, Steve Perez of Hanford High School for winning the Law Day Essay Contest.  This year's topic addressed the importance of the courts and their role in ensuring access to justice for all Americans.

Ms. Feeney and Mr. Perez will be recognized at the May bar luncheon.
